EXPERIMENTS • CURIOSITY • SIDE QUESTS
Not everything I experiment with belongs in a research paper. This is a place for interesting experiments, unusual ideas, demonstrations, things I build and things that sometimes fail.
01 — EXPERIMENTS
A small experiment exploring an interesting optical phenomenon. The goal was simply to see what would happen and understand the physics behind it.
STATUS: COMPLETED
A hands-on experiment or device built out of curiosity. This section can contain photographs, measurements, observations and lessons learned.
STATUS: IN PROGRESS
An experiment that started with a strange question. Not necessarily a serious research project — just something worth trying.
STATUS: IDEA
02 — VIDEOS
Some experiments are easier to understand when you actually see them happening.
A short demonstration of an experiment or interesting optical phenomenon.
03 — IDEAS
Build something interesting with inexpensive optical components.
Explore an optical phenomenon outside my regular research.
Turn a strange physics question into a tabletop experiment.
04 — PHILOSOPHY
Some experiments work. Some don't. Some produce unexpected results and lead to better questions. This section is about documenting the process, not just the final result.
